Who Can Enter

  • You must hold a SMASH! 2024 Weekend or Saturday pass or...
  • Hold a SMASH! 2024 Exhibitors or Media pass to enter
  • You must be above the age of 12 years old, no exceptions
  • SMASH! Staff and Crew are not allowed to enter
  • If you meet the above requirements and have a physical or hidden disability, please notify our registration crew so that we can better accommodate you

How to Participate

  1. Register on the day at the Gaming Registration Desk. Please note that registrations will be capped at 32 participants, any after that will be registered as reserve fighters.
  2. Arrive for the Elimination Rounds
  • Round 1 of the tournament start on Saturday 20th July, 3:00 PM. However, you’re required to check-in no later than 2:45 PM

General Rules

  1. Only 32 fighter slots for registration. Any registrations after the first 32 will be registered as reserve fighters for the first round
  2. All matches are made up of 1v1
  3. Players may only enter a tournament once.
  4. The winner of the top 8 will be the last fighter standing in a final battle.
  5. In the event of a draw, fighters will compete in a Sudden Death match to determine a winner for that placing.
  6. Equipment will be supplied, but you may bring your own official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for use in the competition on the condition that:
    1. The controller is official and non-modded
    2. The controller is not third-party licensed
    3. The controller is the official Nintendo Pro Controller
  7. Any decisions made by the judges are final and will not be subjected to dispute.

You can register from 10:00 AM onwards each morning at the Gaming Registration Desk! Registrations will remain open up to 15 mins before the tournament start time, unless maximum participants are reached prior. There is no online registration for this event.
