Terms & Conditions

Application Submission

Registrations will be open online at 12pm, Monday 1st June, 2026 until all 32 participant slots are full or until 12am, Monday 21st June, 2026. If you have been successfully registered, you will be notified by email with your match starting time one week before the convention.

Who Can Participate

  • Anyone who has a ticket to enter SMASH! 2026 (Weekend, Saturday, Exhibitors or Media)
  • SMASH! Staff and Crew are not allowed to enter
  • You must be above the age of 12 years old, no exceptions

Schedule

Registrations will be open online at 12pm, Monday 1st June, 2026 until all 32 fighter slots are full or until 12am, Monday 21st June, 2026. If you have been successfully registered, you will be notified by email one week before the convention.

  • Single Elimination Bracket: Saturday 11th July 2026, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
  • Finals @ SMASH! Gaming Stage: Saturday 11th July 2026, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM

FORMAT

Participants are split into two single-elimination brackets with 16 fighters each. The top two of each group will enter a final bracket to determine the winner.

Battles in the preliminary bracket are best of 3. Battles in the final bracket are best of 5.

All battles follow this format:

  • 3 stocks
  • 5 minutes
  • No items
  • No stage hazards
  • No Final Smash meter
