Who Can Enter

  • You must hold a SMASH! 2024 Weekend or Sunday pass or...
  • You must hold a SMASH! 2024 Exhibitors or Media pass to enter
  • You must be above the age of 14 years old, otherwise have a Guardian present
  • SMASH! Staff and Crew are not allowed to enter
  • If you meet the above requirements and have a physical or hidden disability, please complete this registration form and then send us an email so that we can better accommodate you.

Entry & Schedule

You can compete by lining up on the day. You will require a photo ID to enter and you are only allowed to attempt the challenge once per day. The challenge will be set up in the Itasha area, please check the map when published closer to event weekend!

  • Time Trial Challenge 1: Saturday 20th July 2024, 13:00 - 15:00
  • Time Trial Challenge 2: Sunday 21st July 2024, 14:00 - 16:00

Time Trial Challenge Rules

  • Entrants must have a SMASH! 2024 Weekend or Sunday pass or a SMASH! 2024 Exhibitors or Media pass.
  • SMASH! Staff and Crew are not allowed to enter
  • Entrants are required to be 14 years of age or older, unless a guardian is present at all times
  • If an entrant cannot produce a photo ID (school, university, TAFE, or government issued ID), they will not be allowed to attempt the challenge and will subsequently be disqualified
  • The game we will be using: Initial D Arcade Stage 8 Infinity
  • When you are seated at the cabinet. It is highly recommended you adjust your seat so that you are comfortable with the configuration
  • You are not allowed to use any player data cards for your time trial
  • All time trial attempts must be on a stock car of your choice
  • You must select the Time Trial mode > Akina > Downhill > Day or Night
  • You must commit to your Time Trial attempt when you are at the front of the line, your position will not be held
  • Entrants are expected to perform and behave in a sportsman-like manner
  • Prizes are non-transferable nor redeemable for cash
  • We reserve the right to substitute the prizes, or a component of the prize, with another product of equal or greater value at any time without prior notice
  • Any decisions made by the stewards are final and will not be subjected to dispute
  • We reserve the right to disqualify an entrant who does not conform to any of the above requirements

Freeplay Sessions

Fancy some practice or challenge your friends in a 1v1 match? There are freeplay sessions for these arcade cabinets. Please note that these freeplay sessions will not count towards the Time Trial Challenge.
