Graphic Designer
The SMASH Creative department is looking for new Graphic Designers to work hand in hand with the Creative Director, Illustrators, and other SMASH departments . As a Graphic Designer you will be bringing projects to life, whether it’s a solo project or a collaborative project with other designers. Projects may vary from print based works like signage and program booklets, to digital works such as social media posts and advertisements.
We encourage being proactive and taking initiative; if you want to take up a particular brief, don’t be scared to put your hand up and volunteer! And don’t be afraid to ask for feedback! Our team is always happy to help and assist if needed.
The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, proactive, initiative and open to constructive criticism. Additionally, the candidate will have great interpersonal communication skills, work well under a high pressure environment, have excellent time arrangement and confidence in illustration skills (specifically anime). Since SMASH! is a pop culture event, knowledge or familiarity in Japanese pop culture is heavily desired. Qualifications in Art or Design are not necessary and we welcome professional artists, as well as self-taught and hobby artists.
If you have experience in illustration but are not as confident in your graphic design skills, you can consider applying for the more specific Illustrator position.
