Itasha is Japan's eye-catching car culture, where vehicles become rolling anime art. "痛車" (Itasha) means "cringe car," a playful, jokingly self-deprecating term embraced by fans since the subculture emerged in the 1980s. What started as “otaku expressing their passion through car modifications” has evolved into an art form.
