Ink Painting Showcase Competition
Celebrate the beauty of brushwork, balance, and expression in this Calligraphy & Ink Painting Showcase Competition. Open exclusively to participants of the Ink Painting Workshop, this competition invites artists to submit completed works inspired by the techniques and styles taught during the session. Entries will be judged by the professional ink painting artist leading the workshop.
This competition is designed to reward learning and creativity rather than speed, giving participants the opportunity to apply newly learned skills in a thoughtful and expressive way. By limiting entries to workshop participants, the competition ensures fair access to materials, guidance, and judging consistency—even with limited workshop spaces and equipment.
Who Can Participate
- Open only to attendees of the Ink Painting Workshop
- Includes both Simple Illustration and Advanced Illustration sessions
- Each participant may submit one artwork per workshop attended
- All submitted works must be created during or immediately following the workshop, using the techniques taught
Judging Criteria
All entries will be judged by the our Ink Painting Artist running the workshop
Judging will focus on:
- Understanding and application of taught techniques
- Brush control and ink flow
- Composition and balance
- Creativity and personal expression

Winners of the Calligraphy & Ink Painting Showcase Competition will be announced alongside the Art Competition winners on stage on Sunday 12 July
