DOODLING COMPETITION - FANTASY CAMPING
We welcome you to another year at SMASH!
Our annual running Themed Arts Competitions returns again! Both powered by Clip Studio Paint, and with a new theme…. FANTASY CAMPING 🏕️!
Imagine your most ideal camping fantasy, how would you draw your camping grounds? Filled with animals or relaxing by the fire? Let’s start drawing in as we imagine our nights of camping! Camping…sounds daunting, but really it is super relaxing! Imagine you are in a forest, stars twinkling under the sky and sitting by the fire with a toasty marshmallow.
Who can participate
- This competition is for all ages!
- A single applicant can submit multiple entries.
- SMASH! Staff and Crew are allowed to enter their artworks in any art competition however, under no circumstances will special consideration be given to any entrant during the judging and selection process.
Register on the day
Attendees can register at the Doodling desk located in the Arts & Culture Area.
Artists can register their artwork at the Doodling desk.

Saturday 12th July - 10:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday 13th July - 10:00am - 2:00pm
All submissions must be at the desk no later than 2:00pm 13th July.
Artists MUST collect their artwork no later than 5pm 13th July at the Doodling desk.

submission requirements
All artworks are to be original of any medium, involving the artists creativity and imagination.
All Pieces MUST BE PG13, more details are listed below.
judging criteria
This is what the competition will rely on to give the people a chance at winning, describe it and try not to be vague!
Our guests will be evaluating submissions based on the following, originality, quality and overall impression!
- Originality - reflects the artist's uniqueness in the design and creation of their piece.
- Quality - involves the artist’s mastery of the medium, intended to showcase their control of composition, lighting and details of their piece.
- Overall Impression - takes into consideration the presentation and visual appeal and overall atmosphere of the creation of the art!

Winners will be announced on Sunday at the Arts Stage, so please make sure you come and celebrate all the creative people who have come to showcase their art and passion and participated in the competition for SMASH! this year!
