Doodling Art Competition
Welcome to another year at SMASH!
Our annual Themed Arts Competition returns once more. Venturing into a newly furbished theme…
Step into a forgotten age where time stands still. Imagine a hidden prehistoric world untouched by humans. Picture towering dinosaurs roaming ancient forests, erupting volcanic ridges or a quiet night under unfamiliar constellations. This is your chance to unleash your wildest ideas and re-imagine the world before us.
Who Can Participate
- This competition is for everyone of all ages!
- A single applicant can submit multiple entries.
- SMASH! Staff and Crew are allowed to enter their works in any of the Art competitions; however, under no circumstances will special consideration be given to any entrant during the judging and selection process.
Register on the day
Attendees can register at the Doodling desk located in the Arts & Culture Area
Artists can register their artwork at the Doodling desk.
Submission Period
- Saturday 11th 10:00am - 4:30pm
- Sunday 12th July @ 12pm
All submissions must be at the Doodling desk no later than 12:00pm on Sunday 12th.
Artists must collect their artwork by no later than 5pm on either Saturday or Sunday at the Doodling desk. Unless awarded a prize, we will not post artwork back to artists.

Submission Requirements
- All artworks are to be original of any medium, involving the artists creativity and imagination.
- All Pieces MUST BE PG13, more details are listed below.
Judging Criteria
Our guest judges will be evaluating all submissions based on the originality, quality and overall impression of the art pieces.
- Originality reflects the artist’s unique approach to the theme.
- Quality involves the artist’s mastery of the medium, intended to showcase their control of composition, lighting, and details of their piece.
- Overall impression takes into consideration the presentation and visual appeal and the overall atmosphere that is created by the piece!

Winners will be announced on Sunday at the Doodling Desk, so please join us as we celebrate the incredible artists who have brought the Lost Worlds: Dinosaurs theme to life. Come cheer on the creative minds who shared their creativity and passion in the competition for SMASH! this year!
