2D Art Competition
Greetings, prehistoric explorers!
Welcome back for another unforgettable weekend at the ICC for SMASH! 2026!
This year, we invite you to travel far beyond the modern world—back to a time when the earth was untamed, colossal shadows ruled the land, and survival was written in tooth and claw.
Dinosaurs!
Step into a prehistoric world of towering jungles, volcanic horizons, and ancient skies filled with thunderous calls. Capture the stillness before a massive herd moves through the mist, the tension of a predator stalking through dense ferns, or the awe of a giant silhouetted against a blazing sunset. From sweeping landscapes to intimate moments frozen in time, bring the raw(r) power and wonder of the age of dinosaurs to life through two-dimensional art.
Submission Period
28th February 9 AM - 1st June 11PM
General Rules
- Pieces must all be original content. Any submissions that are recognised a fan art or depict existing characters, people, brands, or products will not be accepted.
- Submissions CANNOT be AI-GENERATED.
- Please do not submit or monetise works that you have submitted to other contests that are occurring simultaneously. However, entrants are free to submit to other competitions after the announcement of our results.
- Once submitted, no further changes can be made to the entry.
- Entries will be viewed by a large and diverse audience of all ages with different nationalities, cultures, religions, etc. As such, please ensure your submission adheres to the following conditions:
- Entries must not be discriminatory against any mental, physical, or economic disadvantages.
- Depictions of child prostitution, nudity, erotic content or abuse are strictly prohibited.
- The entry must not contain socially offensive content, ie, it must not disrespect anyone’s freedom of religion, beliefs, occupation, privacy, etc.
- The entry must not depict any form of drugs or alcohol.
- Entries must fit the contest purpose.
Submission Details
Although entries must be submitted via the form to qualify, artists are welcome to bring in a physical copy of their artwork during the SMASH! Event days to the Art Info Booth for display.
Artists MUST collect their artwork by no later than 5 pm on Sunday, 12 July 2026. Unless awarded a prize, we will not post artwork back to artists.
If the artwork needs to be posted back to the artist, postage must be paid for by the artist.
Specifications
- Please ensure that your artwork has been saved, photographed or scanned clearly.
- Please name the file with your ‘ArtistName_ArtworkTitle’.
- File size should not exceed 5MB.
- Preferred file formats are .JPG, .PNG or .PDF.

Remember, winners will be announced at the Arts Stage on Sunday, so please make sure you come see and celebrate all the creative people who have fought against time to finish their pieces!
