To our beloved fans. We have seen your responses and we hear you..

As a message to you all, as an organisation here at SMASH! we have tried everything in our power to prepare for a competition like ECG to run in its best form this year at SMASH! Chibi.

However, it is due to changes internally within SMASH! - to run such a prestigious competition with a limited time frame would have resulted in something we would not have been proud of. It would a disservice to what we promise as an experience to you as fans, but to the competition itself. In addition to this, due to the size of the stage, the only competition we could have handled would have been a solo category competition.

As we internally regroup to understand how we can appropriately deliver cosplay competitions in-line with our organisation goals and capacity, we welcome attendees and fans of SMASH! events to email us at cosplaycompetitions@smash.org.au with your suggestions and aspirations for cosplay competitions (or the wider SMASH! events) moving toward the future.

There will still be some form of Cosplay activation at Chibi this year, and we will share details of this soon, so please - keep your eye on this space.
